Police pressing charges against oligarch and former top Smer politician

Their lawyers are talking of charges as nonsense and inquisition.

The National Crime Agency has charged Robert Kaliňák, a former three-time interior minister for the Smer party, and tycoon Jozef Brheľ, a person with close ties to Smer, with bribery.

The police did not provide more detail on February 1 as the investigation overseen by the Special Prosecutor’s Office is ongoing.
