Last week, the Health Ministry launched a voluntary vaccination campaign using a new Covid-19 vaccine. People older than 12 can now register via the National Health Portal website (click on the yellow "COVID očkovanie testovanie" button on the right).
Further details will be provided upon registration.
The new Nuvaxovid XBB.1.5 vaccine is administered intramuscularly three months after the last Covid-19 vaccine at the earliest, regardless of the previous type of vaccine or order of doses, says the ministry.
Vaccination with the Nuvaxovid vaccine will take place at Bratislava University Hospital (Kramáre), F.D. Roosevelt Faculty Hospital in Banská Bystrica, and L. Pasteur University Hospital in Košice.
In the case of increased interest in this vaccine, the Health Ministry will consider expanding the vaccination network to include other centres.
