American actor Stanley Tucci had a gourmet experience several days before Christmas thanks to a ‘beautiful piece of pork’ from Slovakia.
On December 18, the award-winning filmmaker posted a kitchen video on social media in which he cuts and talks about Slovak bacon. He reveals that he got the piece of cured meat from a Slovak friend who’s name is Martina.
“It’s not dissimilar to pancetta or guanciale in Italy,” he says about the bacon.
At some point, he starts punching it.
“Why am I punching it?” he jokes. “I’m not angry at it. I’m excited about it.”
In a comment left below the video, his friend Martina wrote that she would bring Tucci the traditional bryndza sheep cheese the next time.
