Slovakia’s second city, Košice, will soon have a new direct connection to southern Spain, after Ryanair announced it will launch flights to Malaga from next spring.
The Irish budget carrier said the new route will begin operating on 30 March 2026, with services twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. Tickets are already available on Ryanair’s website, starting at around €50 one way.
According to the published schedule:
On Mondays, flights will depart Malaga at 16:00, arriving in Košice at 19:40. The return flight will leave Košice at 20:25 and reach Malaga at 00:25.
On Thursdays, departures from Malaga are set for 13:05, landing in Košice at 16:45. The return leg will take off at 17:10, arriving in Malaga at 21:10.
At the same time, the airline is expanding its network from the Slovak capital, Bratislava, introducing a new link to the Italian city of Pisa, also starting on 30 March 2026 and running twice weekly (Monday, Thursday). In addition to the Pisa route, Ryanair’s summer 2026 schedule will also include new regular flights to Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to Warsaw, the Polish capital, starting from 29 March 2026.
The move is part of Ryanair’s ongoing push in the Slovak market, where it competes fiercely with Wizz Air for passengers on low-cost European routes.
Ryanair already flies from Košice to Dublin, Liverpool, London, Prague and Zadar.
