Western SLOVAKIABratislavaCONCERT:THE FAMED Harlem Gospel Choir, which has logged two million miles touring the world, have added four Slovak cities to their itinerary. Having performed with U2, Whoopi Goldberg, the Chieftains and Jessica Simpson, the 65-member ensemble from New York is among the most prominent gospel choirs in the United States. Their God Bless the Children Tour will run from November 12 to 15, stopping by Košice’s Palace of Arts (Moyzesova 66), Prešov’s Jonáš Záborský Theatre (Námestie legionárov 6), Žilina’s Fatra Palace of Arts (Jozef Vuruma Street) and Bratislava’s PKO (Culture and Leisure Park, Nábrežie Ľ. Svobodu 3). The concerts start at 19:00. Tickets cost between Sk890 (€29.54) and Sk990 (€32.86). More information is available at www.harlemgospelchoir.cz.

EXHIBITION:THE CENTRAL SLOVAK Gallery in Banská Bystrica is holding an exhibition of Czech graphic arts that takes visitors back to the 1960s. Displaying works by renowned artists and lesser-known graphic designers alike, the project gives a comprehensive outline of local post-war art. Works by Vladimír Boudník, a key personality of the Czech structural graphics scene and a representative of the "explosionism” movement, are the centrepieces of the display. The exhibits are open until November 30 from 10:00 to 17:00 on weekdays except Monday and from 10:00 to 16:00 on weekends. Admission is Sk40 (€1.33).
