Neither buckets of water nor whips. Celebrate holidays with Easter cuisine

Easter has returned to Slovakia.

Boys can pour water on girls and whip them on Easter Monday again after two years of having to stay at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Canadian Naomi Hužovičová was at first indignant when she learnt about this Slovak tradition.

“My jury is still out on that one,” she said.
