THE CIBULÁK festival, inspired by the French tradition of performing plays on town streets, starts June 21 in Pezinok. The three-day festival revives the atmosphere of medieval outdoor games and carnivals, when artists, charlatans and vagabonds moved from place to place to perform. The Finnish theatre ensemble Ville Walo & Kalle Hakkarainen with the performance State of waiting, Brasilian Duda Paiva with The Angel, and the Slovenian Teatre Matita with the Šala show are the festival's main guests from abroad. An interesting section this year will be the film section, which is subtitled Theatre in Film, Film in Theatre. The price of admission to individual performances ranges from free to Sk150.
