EXHIBITION: Otto Szabó (SK) & Atilla Dienes (HU): Fatal Questions / Osudové Otázky – The exhibition presents two artists of Hungarian origin who focus on similar issues, revolving around the mysteries of human existence. Attila Diénes (1942) comes from Transylvania but lives in Hungary, where he received the most prestigious prize of visual arts in 2011. Otto Szabó (1965) was born in Rožňava, Slovakia, and lives and lectures in Košice. Among other things, he designed the stained glass for the Lučenec synagogue and the statue of the martyr Sára Salkaházi in the Košice Cathedral of St Elizabeth. In 2010, he received the Pro Cultura Hungarica award, and in 2014, the Cross of the Knights’ of the Hungarian Republic. The exhibition is curated by Miroslav Procházka. EXHIBITION/OPENING RECORD: Humoroterapia / Humour-therapy – Opening of the exhibition of artists Fadi Abou Hassan (SY/NOR) & Mileta Miloradovic (SRB) is one in a series of openings that constitute a new world record for the number of cartoon exhibition openings in a single week. It is also part of the celebrations of the 770th anniversary of the city of Prešov and an attempt to present several thousand cartoon works collected over 7 years by the international competition Kýchanie Mozgu – Brain Sneeze.
