FESTIVAL: Blues music - Livin' blues 2017 is the name of the 25th year of the international festival, which is dedicated to blues and rhythm&blues. This year’s headliner will be the American guitarist, Lord Bishop Rocks, but the program will include musicians such as Slovak singer Silvia Josifoska, the group P.P. CONCERT: Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox - American musician, pianist, and arranger Scott Bradlee is well-known as a founder of the Postmodern Jukebox - a rotating music collective playing popular modern music reworked in different vintage genres. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Ludwig van Beethoven – Oeuvres by the famous German composer will be presented by the Slovak Philharmonic and Slovak Philharmonic Choir led by Bertrand de Billy. WORKSHOP: Making macaroons – This masterclass course will be held in English and offers an opportunity to learn how to make traditional French macaroons under the supervision of a French chef. COURSE: Drawing course (in English) – Portrait drawing is suitable for everyone from beginners to intermediates and includes three four-hour sessions on the basics of realistic portrait drawing. INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL: Adventure films from the mountains – The 18th year of the Festival named Hory a mesto/ Mountains and City will present climbers, who achieved or even beat the world records, a competitive film review, which will include 12 Slovak movies, well-known Slovak directors and various presentations. MULTIGENRE FESTIVAL: AnimeShow & Game Expo 2017 – This is the tenth year of the AnimeShow 2017, festival, which is aimed at Anime, manga, Japanese culture, Sci Fi, Fantasy and Kpop. Workshops, lectures, movie screenings and competitions are included too. Simultaneously with this action, the ninth year of the international exhibition, which is dedicated to various kinds of games - Game Expo 2017, will also be held. EXHIBITION: Playing Hide and Law – The exhibition is curated by Avi Feldman and the participating artists are Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Burak Arikan, Ariella Azoulay, Dalibor Bača, Tali Keren, Alona Rodeh and Carey Young. EXHIBITION: Otis Laubert – Slovak artist Otis Laubert, who currently lives and creates his oeuvres in Bratislava belongs to the founding generation of conceptual art in the former Czechoslovakia. His works are presented by the collection of the Roman Fecik Gallery, which acquired them to support the formation of the Otis Laubert Museum. TRADE SHOW: Construction and architecture – The Coneco exhibition brings new trends in construction and architecture together with everything needed for building and reconstruction such as construction materials, windows, doors, roofs, floors, air conditioning, garage doors and even garden equipment. Highlights of the year

COMEDY SHOW: Michael Winslow – the Popular US comedian (Police Academy, Space Balls, Gremlins) will perform in Bratislava, bringing his show full of sound imitations, music, storytelling, and even a special version of the final battle scene from Star Wars. SHOW: Cirque du Soleil – The well-known international artistic group, Cirque du Soleil, comes again to Slovakia and for the first time they present their seven performances of the story named Varekai. It begins with a scene about a lonely man who flies down from the sky to wander around the border of reality and absurdity in a world, where miracles happen. CONCERT: Vanessa-Mae - British violin virtuoso Vanessa-Mae comes back to Bratislava after ten years and her performance will be accompanied by 40 Czech musicians from the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, Prague including vocalists. CONCERT: Andrea Bocelli – One of the greatest artists of Opera, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, has recorded 15 studio albums and three Greatest hits albums over his more than 25-year-long career. The holder of the Golden Globe in the category of song for The Prayer in the animated film The Magic Sword, who last year released his most recent album named Cinema, comes to Bratislava.
