Košice, alongside with partners from Budapest, took part in a challenge which contributes to progress and propagation of cultural inheritance.
“Tourists and citizens have a chance to compare history and architecture of chosen sights in the centre via the app Virtual Guide Through History. They can travel online to history,” said spokeswoman of Košice, Linda Šnajdárová for TASR newswire.
Users of the app see 3D buildings modelled according to original archival documents.
“The aim of the project is to present cultural-historical values with the use of archival sources, which leads to an increase of tourism in the east Slovakia and north Hungary regions,” added Šnajdárová.
