RISING steeply above the river Orava in Oravský Podzámok, the Orava Castle will be open to the public May 1. From 8:30 to 16:00 that day, guided tours through the castle carried in a historical spirit will be accompanied by fencing shows and an actor representing the castle's most significant owner Count Juraj Turzo, who inherited the castle at the end of the 16th century.
