Tears of the Sun (Slzy slnka) - Thriller by Antoine Fuqua. Bruce Willis and his team are rescuing Monica Belucci, who plays an American doctor running a mission for refugees in war-torn Africa. The veteran navy officer finds himself deeply conflicted choosing between following orders and his own conscience.
The Recruit (Farma) - Action movie by Roger Donaldson. James (Colin Farrell), a trainee at the CIA gets involved in a cat-and-mouse game with his mentor (Al Pacino) in the secret service, who taps him for a special assignment. After he falls for a fellow recruit (Bridget Moynahan), James discovers that the old maxims at The Farm are still true: "Trust no one" and "Nothing is what it seems".
Final Destination 2 (Nezvratný osud 2) - Supernatural thriller by David R. Ellis. After having a horrifying vision of a traffic accident, Kimberley saves a group of people by blocking a road. Now these random strangers, who in Kimberley's vision were all meant to die in the freeway disaster, must join her in a thrilling race against time in order to stay alive. Screened with the Animatrix - Final Flight of the Osiris, the animated prequel to The Matrix Reloaded.

Johnny English - Comedy by Peter Howitt. Another James Bond parody movie with British comedian Rowan Atkinson in the role of a secret agent who has to find the stolen Crown Jewels. John Malkovich plays the villain in the movie and Johnny's charming female colleague is Australian pop star Natalie Imbruglia.
The Ring (Kruh)- Thriller by Gore Verbinsky. This remake of a Japanese film of the same name tells the story of a journalist researching the mystery of a videotape that brings death to those who watch it. The enigmatic story with evocative music by Hans Zimmer might cause existential fears and stop you from picking up the phone for a while. (9/10)
Gangs of New York (Gangy New Yorku) - Historical action drama by Martin Scorsese. Set in New York between 1846 and 1863, the film shows the rivalry and fights between two gangs who both want to control the streets of the Five Points section of lower Manhattan. Key figures are Irish immigrant Amsterdam (Leonardo Di Caprio), who wants to avenge the death of his father, and killer Bill the Butcher (Daniel Day-Lewis), head of the Native Americans gang. Stunning historical set and great fighting scenes earned the film 10 Oscar nominations. (9/10)
Hollywood Ending - Comedy/drama by Woody Allen. Mocking himself, Allen plays a neurotic, once-famous director who gets a chance to direct a large feature movie. As a consequence of his chronic paranoia, Allen goes temporarily blind. Allen shares his ironic view of commercial American cinematography, but in this film he is not at his best. (6/10)
Heartbreakers (Pred svadbou nie!) - Comedy/romance by David Mirkin. A mother and daughter form a perfect team to ruin rich men. The plan is simple: The mother (Sigourney Weaver) marries a rich man and the daughter seduces him. The result - a lucrative divorce. Simplistic plot and empty dialogue with predictable punch lines. (4/10)
