LAST CHANCE

Inspired by the wheel

A symbol of progress, the wheel has served humankind for thousands of years. Its motif can be found in many places, such as embroidery, pottery wheel, and metal working, not to mention toys, to which this exhibition is dedicated to. It showcases how the wheel shaped wooden toys in the past, how it does now, and will continue to do so in the future. Located in the Dom Remesiel (House of Craft) in Košice, the exhibition closes this Sunday. Click here for more information.

Kingdom of ice

With the winter season slowly coming to an end, this Sunday will be the last opportunity to visit the Tatra Ice Dome in the Hrebienok resort in the High Tatras. This year's edition is dedicated to the 2008 visit by Queen Elizabeth II, so the dome has an ice sculpture inspired by Westminster Abbey. In total, 225 tons of ice in 1,800 blocks were used in the production of the cathedral.
