Results of the 11 November municipal elections in Slovakia have produced headlines in the Slovak media that betray an optimism that we would have been hard-pressed to detect in the first half of 2018, when the country was going through one of the biggest political convulsions in its post-1989 history.
The anger that in spring led Slovaks on to the streets in their tens of thousands to protest against the government and its ways has translated into votes in the municipal elections in Slovakia’s big cities.
