Blog: What about parking slots for “brains”?

Will the state of biomedical research trigger reactions at least half as passionate as Bratislava's parking policy?

Seeing the wave of emotional reactions that the announcement of a new parking policy in Bratislava has triggered among both Slovaks and foreigners I decided to carry out a little experiment. Will a glance at biomedical research in Slovakia trigger at least half that amount of reactions?

At the end of the day, having good quality health care should be in everyone's interest. The legend says that clinics involved in R&D and innovation have a higher chance of being able to provide it. Add to this innovative medical faculties that train future doctors well.

Slovakia faces a shortage of doctors, with much more severe consequences than that of parking places.
