The one sure thing about the upcoming European elections in Slovakia is that politicians’ interest in them is in direct and inverse proportion to voters’.
There are 31 parties running for Slovakia’s seats in the European Parliament. But there are only 13 seats on offer (or 14, if and when Britain ever leaves). Carried to its absurd conclusion, this is the equivalent of 350 parties contesting next year’s general election.
You will not have heard of most of these parties, and many of them will never be heard of again. So to summarise:
