Peace according to Fico: attack your allies
“So your capital is going to be famous?” an Italian friend asked me when I visited them after a particularly busy Christmas.
That was just after Robert Fico had launched a row with the Ukrainian president and then flown off to Moscow to meet the little man who for nearly three years has been sending his big missiles and his own citizens to slaughter Ukrainians in their own land. It was just before Fico had been spotted in a hyper-luxury hotel suite in Vietnam, where he shot one of his end-of-year videos, issuing blackmail threats towards Ukraine and greeting the citizens of Slovakia in four foreign languages, including Russian.
