Police President Ján Pipta reacting to the accusation of a Bratislava prostitute that police officers in the capital regularly harass prostitutes by demanding oral sex from them, under threat of detaining them on trumped-up charges. In August, Justice Minister Ján Čarnogurský proposed ridding the city of prostitution by "repeatedly bringing them [prostitutes] in for police questioning until they vacate frequented areas of the city".
