In a brief interview with Elisabeth Laursen, the Charity Committee Chair, she shares insights into the committee's recent endeavors.

"Our goal is not just to raise funds, but to create meaningful connections and support systems within the community. Our help is not only financial, but rather hands on, e.g. organizing parties at children’s homes, collecting clothes, or Christmas gifts for those in need," she explained.

"It's heartwarming to witness the positive impact we can make when we come together with a shared purpose," she added.

What are the most recent charities the IWCB has supported?

We help organizations all over the country. Most recently, we went to a field trip to visit 6 organizations in East Slovakia. It’s important for us to reach even those remote organizations that are truly in need.

What does charity work mean to you?

Charity work gives me a sense of purpose, to do something meaningful for others. Meeting women with the same passion is absolutely a great addition.
