The 15th annual Febiofest film festival kicked off in Bratislava on March 31. Itis taking place in eight towns and 12 cinemas until April 30.
The main section is called New Czech and Slovak Cinema. The programme also includes a documentary about former dissident and Czech president Vaclav Havel entitled "Občan Havel" (Citizen Havel). According to the festival director, the jury is made up of "a small sociological cross-section" of the Czech population, with 33 members - 15 women and 18 men. The festival winner will receive €10,000 in prize money. It has been estimated that the festival will attract more than 12,000 visitors. TASR
