THE MAJORITY of people interviewed in a recent poll said that the Party of the Hungarian Coalition would be better off under its former chairman Béla Bugár.
Out of the 933 respondents interviewed by the Polis Slovakia agency between June 9 and 11, 65.9 percent disapproved of the party's former vice-chairman Pál Csáky replacing Bugár, while 12.2 percent were in favour of his success. The poll's sample group was representative of the whole of Slovakia's demographic and political spectrum.
Of those polled, 41.7 percent were disapproved completely of Csáky's replacing Bugár in the party's internal election that took place at the party congress in April, while 24.2 percent only disapproved slightly. On the other hand, 4.9 percent fully approved of the change, while 7.3 percent only mostly approved.
