AMNESTY International (AI) has again called on Slovakia to support an international arms agreement aimed at banning the export of weapons to countries where armed conflict is possible, and where they would contribute to the violation of human rights, the news wire TASR reported.
The agreement is meant to reduce differences between countries in arms-trade legislation. Slovakia has not yet made any comment on the matter.
Amnesty Slovakia spokesperson Ingrid Králová told the press that this silence led AI to make its first appeal to the Slovak government to support the introduction of the agreement in December last year.
