A total of €90 million was invested into the press shop, and the move has created 100 new highly skilled jobs. The shop covers an area of over 19,000 square metres and its production capacity is 13,000 components per day.

Volkswagen Slovakia thus confirmed its position as one of the biggest exporters in Slovakia, Economy Minister Tomáš Malatinský said, as reported by SITA, adding that he appreciates that the company made the investment without requesting government stimuli.

The Bratislava plant, which employs about 9,400 people, produces the Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, Volkswagen up!, Seat Mii, Škoda Citigo, Porsche Cayenne body shells and gearboxes.
