The police are investigating a robbery case involving two unknown offenders who have stolen €56,000 in cash from the flat of an elderly woman, the police reported on Facebook on January 30.
“Unknown perpetrators approached a 81-year-old woman in her apartment on Trebišovská Street in Bratislava, asked her for some cash for a friend who survived a traffic accident,” the police wrote, as quoted by the TASR newswire. “The elderly woman let these unknown people enter her flat, where she gave them cash worth €600.”
However, once inside the apartment the perpetrators took advantage of the woman’s distraction and stole money up to a value of €56,000 in total.
