Rick Todd, the British Ambassador to Slovakia, met with director of the National Security Office Jan Mojžiš on Friday. The meeting took place shortly after opposition Smer deputy Robert Kaliňák had announced that Mojžiš had been named by Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda as one of the "group of enemies of the nation and the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKU)", the daily SME reported.
The daily Pravda has reported that the security director also plans to meet the United States Ambassador to Slovakia, Ronald Weiser.
The British ambassador would not comment on suggestions that his meeting was to support Mojžiš. However, diplomatic circles see the Todd-Mojžiš meeting as an expression of support for Mojžiš, amidst his criticism at the hands of the Slovak prime minister.
