A study by the SUSR statistics office shows that Slovakia had 356,306 small and mid-size businesses at the end of 2002, representing a year-on-year decrease of 10,000 firms.
The study also shows that every day last year three firms were founded, and 104 individuals registered for licenses to run small businesses.
