Chihuahua owner compensated for dead dog

AN INSURANCE company has paid out Sk24,000 to a woman who lost her chihuahua after it ran under a car when it was scared by a labrador.

A vet said that the chihuahua died from internal bleeding, the SITA newswire wrote.

The woman had signed an insurance policy to cover the death of her dog up to Sk24,000.

Dog insurance is quite a new product in Slovakia, as it was introduced only last year.
