Slovakia's Foreign Affairs Minister, Miroslav Lajčák, met with Zhang Zhijun, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China during his visit to Bratislava on February 4, the TASR newswire reported.
During the meeting Lajčák touched on the issue of human rights as well as the Dalai Lama's visit to Slovakia in 2009 and he explained Slovakia's system of values and the overall agreement of Slovak foreign policy with that of the European Union.
The two diplomats expressed appreciation for the friendly relations between the two countries and a will to deepen their contact, especially in the area of economic cooperation, TASR wrote. TASR
