PCR and Ag testing
737 people were positively diagnosed with the coronavirus disease in Slovakia on April 30, the total number increased to 1,781,692.
The laboratories have carried out a total of 7,093,189 PCR tests, 4,265 of which were carried out on April 30. The positivity rate is at 17.28 percent for PCR tests.
They also performed 5,525 new antigen tests, 176 were positive. The total number of antigen tests amounted to 43,928,675 and 749,120 in total were positive.
Death toll and hospitalisations
Altogether 19,917 people have died, according to the data from the National Health Information Centre.
The Health Ministry will no longer report the number of inactive cases, as this data was calculated by an estimation based on the assumption that 14 days after one tests positive or shows the first symptoms of the disease, they cease to be positive and are therefore not infectious.
The number of people in hospitals is 738.

Altogether 2,821,128 people have received their first Covid vaccine shot, and 2,765,766 have been fully vaccinated as of April 27. The booster shot has been administered to 1,646,685 people in total.
To achieve herd immunity in Slovakia, the estimate is that at least 4.6 million people (85 percent of the population) have to be vaccinated.
