The Supreme Court has definitely ruled that tycoon Jozef Majský tried to flee the country last year after he heard that charges were brought against him in association with the collapse of unlicensed deposit companies BMG Invest and Horizont Slovakia.
The ruling will result in Majský's remaining in pretrial custody. The court accepted Justice Minister Daniel Lipsic's complaint against an earlier release of Majský who over the past month has been in and out of custody several times, SME daily reports.
Majský's accomplice Patrik Pachinger, accused of fraud, will also be taken back to pretrial custody as a result of the ruling.
"I am glad that the Supreme Court has accepted my arguments and I am ready to take the same action in any other case," Lipsic said.
