A COURT in the eastern Slovak city of Košice sentenced reputed mafia boss Dušan Borženský to 15 years in prison December 14.
Borženský, also known as Borža, was found guilty of murder, illegal possession of arms, robbery and damage to property. However, his lawyers have already filed an appeal against the verdict.
Among other crimes, Borža was charged with masterminding the murder of rival mafia boss Karol Kolárik in December 1999, the TASR news agency wrote. Borža's accomplices were also sentenced.
