Danube Wings flies within France

DANUBE Wings, based in Slovakia, is gradually launching six routes in France. In mid May it opened a new base at the Dole-Jura airport in the Franche-Comté region with an inaugural flight to Nice. Over the following two months the airline will launch four regular routes from Dole-Jura with two connecting flights, the company stated in a news release.

“We believe that we will bring tourists to our French friends and that we will also make their journeys to the sea or business easier,” stated Ján Rostáš, the CEO of Danube Wings. The CEO said that without the conceptual support of this airport and local government officials who closely cooperate with local tourism entrepreneurs, these routes could not have been launched.

Danube Wings also operates routes in Sweden based on a similar support scheme and recent assistance from Italian entrepreneurs helped to launch the airline’s Bratislava-Venice route.
