Developers plan more projects for Prešov

Several developers have presented large projects for the town of Prešov in eastern Slovakia.

Several developers have presented large projects for the town of Prešov in eastern Slovakia.

The plans are likely to result in a shopping mall and a leisure centre being built there in the near future.

Targest, s.r.o. plans to build a shopping centre for around Sk300 million (€99.581 million). According to an environmental impact assessment, the investor intends to commence construction as early as this year, and complete the project within a year.

The shopping mall, with a rentable area of more than 9,600 square metres, would be situated in the Prešov housing estate of Sekčov, opposite the Max shopping mall, which is currently under construction. Targest is a subsidiary of Euro Mall Czech Holding A/S, which is based in Denmark.

Meanwhile, a Czech company, Aukett, plans to build a leisure centre, Prešov Park, at a cost of around Sk100 million (€33.193 million). The leisure centre will be situated at the junction of Solivarská and Východná, on the premises of the ZPA Krížik factory. The investor intends to launch the project in autumn of this year and complete it within a year. The new centre would cover an area of 36,000 square metres. SITA
