EU to applicant countries: Not one euro more

The European Union’s Council of Foreign Ministers has confirmed a controversial EU plan to give 10 new member states 40.16 billion euros in the first three years after entry, during which time agriculture subsidies for the new entrants will reach 25, 30 and 35 per cent annually of what EU members get.
