Since Saturday, Meta has started the massive deletion of posts on Facebook containing the name as well as the link to the website of the Ammunition for Ukraine fundraiser, reports the Mier Ukrajine (Peace to Ukraine) civic organisation. Nevertheless, the public can still contribute to the ongoing fundraiser launched two months ago. So far, more than 67,000 people have contributed more than €4 million.
With the fundraisers, Slovakia joined the Czech government's global initiative with the goal of supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression. The money is already being used to purchase and deliver ammunition.
The civic organisation is trying to investigate why Meta decided to remove posts mentioning the fundraiser.

"We have contacted support and currently awaiting a response and explanation. We want to emphasise that recently the fundraiser has been under attack more than before, and there have been organised attacks on social media, as well as on the fundraiser infrastructure, in addition to the usual threats and criminal reports," says Martin Kulich from the organisation. He adds that one of the initiators of the collection, after repeated reporting, had their account permanently blocked on the X platform on June 15. Other initiatives have also been affected.
According to information from Facebook users, Mier Ukrajine claims that even posts related to other projects providing help to Ukraine were removed on Saturday, even on X.
