In its poll conducted between October 1 - 7, Focus polling agency claims that Robert Fico's Smer would win parliamentary elections with 24.4 percent of the vote, followed by the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) with 16.5 percent, and the Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK) with 10.2 percent, news wire SITA reported.
The Communists (KSS) would get 8.9 percent, followed by the New Citizens' Alliance (ANO) with 8.7 percent, and the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) with 8.2 percent. Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda's SDKÚ would get 7.2 percent, followed by the reunified Slovak National Party (SNS) with 6.5 percent.
The poll results indicate that 15 percent of respondents would not come to the polls and that 14.1 percent were undecided.
