The paper reports that the first disputes have broken out between the four right-wing parties trying to form a cabinet over the posts of Interior Minister and Speaker of Parliament.
The leader of the Christian Democrats, Pavol Hrušovský, has insisted that the party’s vice chair, Vladimír Palko, take the Interior Ministry seat over incumbent Ivan Šimko.
“We’re going to insist that the KDH takes this post,” Hrušovský said in an interview with the daily paper Pravda.
Other parties in talks with the KDH have criticised Hrušovský intransigence, as well as the fact he broke an unwritten agreement not to talk to the press before the cabinet negotiations were over.
“I think some parties are talking more than is right,” said Ano leader Pavol Rusko.
