Slovakia's Foreign Affairs Ministry says it believes the government in Myanmar will use non-violent means that respect democratic principles and basic human rights to resolve the days-long demonstrations being led by monks, the ministry's press and communications department said on September 24.
The ministry expressed its support and solidarity with the non-violent movement, which is aimed at bring democracy to the country. As a member of the UN Security Council, Slovakia also supports raising a discussion of Myanmar’s internal affairs with the Council. TASR
