One of them is India, which would like to carry out training courses with chemical substances at the Training and Testing Centre in Zemianske Kostoľany (Trenčín Region).

“The Indian delegation of military experts wants to familiarise itself with the centre, so it will pay a visit in March,” Defence Ministry spokesperson Martina Balleková told the TASR newswire.

Defence Minister Martin Glváč held a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Slovakia Param Jit Mann on March 3.

“There is room for cooperation between our countries, either in the field of education and training or in the defence industry,” Glváč said, as quoted by TASR.

The defence minister also met during his visit to the United Arab Emirates in late February with the representatives of the country who showed their interest in Lešť military training area in Banská Bystrica Region. In order to maximise mutual cooperation, Glváč and Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, agreed on creating the interdepartmental council which should secure its successful conclusion, the SITA newswire wrote.
