Former SIS agent interrogated in the Gorilla case

The interrogation of a former member of the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) who allegedly leaked the internal SIS file, later called the Gorilla file, has taken place at the Police Presidium in Bratislava after any duty of confidentiality had been removed by SIS head Karol Mitrík, a spokeswoman of the Special Prosecutor’s Office Jana Tökölyová told the SITA newswire.

She added that the interrogation concerned a deed mentioned in the documents published on the internet in 2011. “This man answered all questions put to him, to the extent and limits to which he was stripped of the confidentiality duty ,” the spokeswoman also said, adding that as the interrogation was classified and confidential and as the investigation is still ongoing, the Special Prosecutor’s Office will not comment in more detail.

Peter H. is considered to be the author of the Gorilla file, which appeared in public in Decemebr 2011 and which includes a transcript of conversations between politicians and a partner of the Penta financial group, Jaroslav Haščák. The authenticity or origin of the file has never been confirmed.
