“It was at the ‘Olympics’ in Erfurt, Germany,” Muráriková told the daily.

The competition attracted participants from 53 countries, and Muráriková emerged victorious.
“It was very satisfying to watch people passing along my honey pies, leaning towards them, and shaking their heads in disbelief,” she said.

She called her work Dinner for a King. It included a soup tureen and a candleholder in Baroque style, and even a carp, all made from honey-flavoured dough.

“My daughter Veronika helped me a lot,” Muráriková said. “We worked long hours, and didn’t sleep at all in the last three days. When I calculated it, I figured out that we worked for 350 hours.”
Muráriková noted that all her creations are edible.

“You can eat everything, from the tip of the candle to the handle on the soup tureen,” she said.
