Slovakia’s unofficial capital of the east, Košice, boasts extravagant pubs, cafes and clubs attracting people who seek fun and entertainment from the whole region. Dance clubs do not limit their operation only to the weekends but also welcome visitors on weekdays. The clubs range from luxurious entertainment places, trendy music clubs to discos packed by local students.
Home-style restaurants, beer bars, even one with its own brewery, and stylish coffee shops can be found all over downtown but those who wish to explore other parts of the city will find interesting entertainment as well.
Košice even has its own “official cocktail”, served only on its territory called ‘Košice gold cocktail’ while the locals will be quick to recommend that visitors try the drink made based on a secret recipe created during a bartender show in 2010. It even has a warm version for the winter season.
