Slovakia beat Japan 10:1 (3:1, 5:0, 2:0) in the International Ice Hockey Federation world championships in Helsinki last night.
Goals came from Pálffy (10, 17), Radivojevič (35,45), Stümpel (7), Nagy (25), Hlinka (28), Zedník (36), Višňovský (40), and Lintner (50). The goal for Japan came in the 12th minute from Ta Saito.
Slovakia now leads group A with four points and has the highest number of goals in the tournament.
