Bratislava’s seasonal recreational bus routes are back from this weekend, offering an easy way to escape into nature without the hassle of driving or parking.

Line 43 will run every 15 minutes between Patrónka and the Lesopark, one of the most popular access points to the city’s forest. Patrónka is well connected to other parts of the city, including the centre, Petržalka, Ružinov, Nové Mesto and Dúbravka. From the Lesopark stop, it is a short walk to boat rentals, playgrounds, firepits and a wide asphalt path suitable for bikes and pushchairs. Hikers can continue on to Kačín, Malý Slavín and other trails. A detour to Kačín will be reinstated once flood-damaged infrastructure in the valley is repaired.

Shorter night cuts one night bus departure

At 2:00 on Sunday 30 March 2025, Central European Time (CET) will move forward by one hour to 3:00, marking the start of Central European Summer Time (CEST) and shortening the night by an hour. Bratislava’s night-time public transport services will operate according to their standard timetables based on the current official time.

Line 144 runs between Koliba and Kamzík at 15-minute intervals on weekends and holidays. It connects with trolleybus line 44, which gets you to Koliba. From Kamzík, the highest point in the Lesopark, there are hiking paths leading to Železná studienka, Rača and Pekná cesta.

Line 154 links Horáreň Krasňany with Pekná cesta, where you can switch to tram line 3. Running on weekends and holidays, it takes you to a quieter corner of the forest that’s particularly good for families. There is a playground, firepits, picnic seating, a meadow, and a small café.
