The Hungarian Guard claims that people from outside of Hungary, including 100 to 150 from Slovakia, want to join the far-right paramilitary organisation.
The guard has not accepted any of these applications yet, the daily Nový Čas reported on October 30.
"As far as applicants from Romania or Slovakia are concerned, we have to find an appropriate way of allowing for them to be accepted," said the head of the organisation, Gabor Vona. “The assistance that they will provide to our activities, either as supporters or directly as members, is yet to be decided.”
