ONE of the world’s biggest providers of automobile roof systems, Inalfa Roof Systems, is expanding in Slovakia. On June 18 the company officially started expanding its production facilities in the village of Krakovany in western Slovakia, the company announced on its website.
This expansion will create extra warehouse, production floor space and social and auxiliary rooms to accommodate future projects for various European original equipment manufacturers. In total the development will bring an additional 4,800 square metres of space.
Based on information released by the SITA newswire in mid February, the company plans to employ another 150 more people once the project is completed, increasing its total labour force to 270.
Inalfa Roof Systems Slovakia is part of Inalfa Roof Systems Group, which was founded in the Dutch town of Venray in 1946. The group has 12 production plants and three technological and development centres in Europe, Asia and America. It supplies automotive components for carmakers such as Chrysler, General Motors, Ford, BMW, Daimler, Renault and PSA, SITA wrote.
