"The draft was withdrawn … because there is the prospect of an agreement between representatives of employers and employees on a new system of regular increases of the minimum wage, with the possibility to negotiate,” the council chair and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Viera Tomanová said.

The cabinet has already drawn up a new draft bill on the minimum wage that has yet to be agreed upon.

Employers and trade unions should reach an agreement on it with the cabinet by July 20, when the topic is to be discussed again.
