Interior Ministry to renovate Border Police office in Bratislava

The Interior Ministry has annouced that it will renovate the Border Police Office in Petržalka at a cost of approximately Sk1 million (€33,194).

The Interior Ministry has annouced that it will renovate the Border Police Office in Petržalka at a cost of approximately Sk1 million (€33,194).

Ľudmila Staňová of the ministry’s Communication Department said that the reconstruction will start this month and be completed in October. The renovation will focus on extending the client service department.

The Border Police office at Hrobákova Street in Bratislava has 55 employees. Since the beginning of the year, it has registered 3,437 applications for residency, of which 1,995 have been granted. The Border Police in received 9,875 applications across all of Slovakia for all types of residency. Staňová stated that 6,521 of those applications have been approved. SITA
