Iraq ceremonially opened its embassy in Bratislava on April 26 in order to strengthen the development of bilateral relations.
The embassy on Pod Klepáčom Street in the Kramáre area of Bratislava was officially opened by Iraq's Foreign Affairs State Secretary Mohamed Hamoud and Marcel Peško, Head of the Office of the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The Iraqi representation in Slovakia is currently being led by charge d'affaires Rasheed Al-Awsi. In the past, Slovakia was covered by the Iraqi embassy in Vienna.
