Slovakia’s Police Corps is to beef up police patrols in line with a newly organised structure as of January 1. “The objective is to make a significant improvement in the presence of police patrols in areas where criminal incidents occur more frequently, including those in the east of Slovakia,” Lipšic said, as reported by the TASR newswire. The minister emphasised that people living in these areas witness crimes on an almost daily basis, and the state should therefore make sure that their health and property are protected.
